Advertising Promotion Regulation Compliance
PAW Media was found to be in breach of CAP (Committee Of Advertising Practice) compliance with regards to the following
8.17.4.e Closing dates must not be changed unless unavoidable circumstances beyond the control of the promoter make it necessary and either not to change the date would be unfair to those who sought to participate within the original terms, or those who sought to participate within the original terms will not be disadvantaged by the change.
We advertised a finishing date for a promotion but then extended the end date after the first official close date. Since it was the same promotion with a new date and no substantial change to product offering, we breached some of the guidance advised by CAP.
In future we will follow the guidance outlined by CAP with regards to all future advertising and promotions, starting today June 25th 2019 so we are compliant with the regulations set out by CAP.
