Ofcom Online Safety Bill Compliance
The UK online safety bill is now law in the UK. OFCOM is the UK regulator that will enforce the Online Safety Bill. The online safety bill is broad and far reaching and not only affects UK based sites, but any website or service that has UK based customers.
We have read the OFCOM online safety bill in full. Please read on below on how we are complying with the Online Safety Bill.
Please note that the online safety bill is new and may change in the future. Any updates to our site will be addressed here if we have to make any changes.

Our Statement
We have reviewed the guidance issued by Ofcom regarding the services and content we offer to users. We have determined that we are not covered by these regulations due to the following:
Services We Offer And Our Content
We do not offer a user to user service (U-2-U) or experience. No site user can communicate with other site users on our website. Users cannot share information, upload images or videos to this website for other users to view.
We do not offer a search service. We only offer a search function within our own website. This is just an indexing system and does not draw content and information from outside our website to present to users.
Material displayed on this website is created and maintained by the owners and operators of this website. No users of this website cannot upload or share any content to this website. We have complete editorial control.
Our content does not feature or contain pornographic material. Ofcom defines pornography in their act as ” content of such a nature that its reasonable to assume that it was produced solely or principally for the purpose of sexual arousal”.
As outlined on our about us and content pages, our content is carefully produced to be as inclusive as possible for our participants and the viewers of our content. The Splat! Show content is primarily and principally created for entertainment and as a Game Show (many ideas of which were / are taken from TV shows). Any interest our customers or users find in our content beyond this is secondary to our primary and sole intent to create a fun, engaging and safe to watch online gameshow for all users and is down to their own individual interests that we have no control over.
Our content that is displayed on this website does not feature or contain any other of the legal or illegal harms as outlined in OFCOM’S guidelines.
Continually Under Review
We fully support the aims outlined in The Online Safety bill and protecting children from accessing or coming across pornography, online harms, illegal or and lawful inappropriate content. We will continue to monitor the online safety bill as it matures and we will continually assess our content and services to ensure we remain compliant with the online safety act.
Our Website Rating By Third Party Services
Our website and all websites on the internet are monitored by various organisations to monitor content. Websites and online services are given a content rating depending on the results of their daily crawls and human moderation. For example, one of the biggest organisations monitoring and grading websites is Categorify operated and maintained by Clean Browsing. Our site is listed as PG. Our website is also not blocked by default by UK mobile operators. UK mobile network carriers block harmful / adult only websites by default using a similar guidance to the regulations outlined in the Online Safety Bill. These blocks / filters can be turned off by users, but our website has none of these restrictions / filters on by default.
Our payment processor has also audited our site and found that our content is compliant with their strict regulations which does not allow adult, legal harms or pornographic content.
We are confident that through our own determination, along with independent third party services coming to the same conclusion about our content and services, that we fall out of the scope of the regulations outlined in the Online Safety Act.
If you wish to raise an issue with our content or the with the services we offer, please do contact us.
